Kochman Reidt + Haigh Cabinetmakers is a 35-person company that designs, fabricates, and installs furniture, cabinetry, and millwork. Our team of designers and artisans work together to bring unique and distinctive products to our customers. The work is highly collaborative and full of invention and discovery. 

For over forty years we have been fortunate to work at the highest level of quality on some of the finest homes in the country. Our woodworkers, finishers, and installers are highly skilled, highly motivated problem solvers who every day have the pleasure of seeing their work take shape in the shop and then in our patron's homes. We put a high value on multidisciplinary skills, and cross-training within the company is an ongoing project.

We are currently looking for people skilled in the following areas:

Finishing Department Leader

KR+H is looking for someone to lead this critically important part of our company. We are seeking a fully experienced wood finisher who is motivated by craftsmanship and an eagerness to lead and learn. Our finishers touch everything made at KR+H and take pride in the fact that their work is the first feature that meets the eye of the end user.

Qualifications/Responsibilities

  • Experience with both clear and opaque spray finishes

  • Ability to color and stain match

  • Utilize both sanding equipment and hand sanding to prep product for finish

  • A keen eye to identify problems and create solutions

  • Work with other company supervisors to coordinate shop workflow and meet scheduling obligations

  • Work with our suppliers to ensure the finishing department is fully stocked with equipment and materials

Cabinet Assembler

Assembly of custom cabinetry in manufacturing facility prior to installation. Highly motivated, follows direction and works well in both a team environment and independently. Problem solver.

Qualifications/Responsibilities

  • Ability to read shop drawings

  • Case construction/fabrication

  • Assemble, fit finished parts, install and troubleshoot various types of hardware

  • Pack parts, load truck, provide support to our installers

  • Assist with deliveries

  • Able and willing to work in other areas of production

  • Willingness to work overtime/weekends as required

  • Some travel is required

  • Two years woodworking experience is required

Custom Cabinetry and Millwork Installer

Craftsperson to install custom cabinetry, millwork, doors, and other components in our clients' homes. Highly motivated, detailed, and flexible individual who works well in both a team environment and independently. Independent thinker. Problem solver. Patient, persistent, and service oriented.

Qualifications/Responsibilities

  • Superior craftsmanship - - understand complicated layouts, perform intricate scribes, install finished cabinetry including standing & running trim

  • Excellent initiative and communication, capacity to take charge & offer direction

  • Provide sensitive and effective customer service

  • Able to read blueprints/shop drawings

  • Able to identify and achieve our high level of quality workmanship

  • Able to understand and integrate our work with that of other trades on residential job sites

  • Able to think ahead and identify the controlling conditions to achieve an accurate and efficient installation

  • Maintains a positive attitude even in difficult circumstances

  • A keen eye for detail

  • Able to establish and meet deadlines

  • Five years residential millwork installation, or finish carpentry experience required

CNC Trainee

Assist in the operation of CNC machine for the production of parts for custom cabinetry millwork, doors, and other components. Highly motivated, follows direction and works well in both a team environment and independently. Problem solver. Creative thinker.

Qualifications/Responsibilities

  • Three years woodworking experience required

  • Certificate of CNC training

Engineer

Seeking an individual with experience in cabinet and or millwork engineering, or with a mechanical aptitude who has familiarity with computerized technical drawings and blueprints. Knowledge of SketchUp is a plus. Highly motivated, follows direction and works well in both a team environment and independently. Works well under pressure. Positive with an eagerness to learn and a creative thinker with strong problem-solving skills.

Qualifications/Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed construction drawings for manufacturing

  • Create cut lists; Communicate both with other departments verbally and graphically to ensure coordination of concept from design through manufacturing and installation.

  • Excellent communication skills; verbal, written and graphic

  • Review shop drawings for inconsistencies

  • Identify critical points and problem areas within products

  • CAD Experience

  • Woodworking experience is a plus

Bench Woodworker

Highly skilled/trained woodworker needed for fabrication of custom cabinetry. Highly motivated. Works well in both a team environment and independently. Problem solver. Able to read blueprints/shop drawings. Mastery of traditional woodworking machinery. Ready to work with invention, precision and efficiency.

Qualifications/Responsibilities

  • Able to work to exact measurements and specifications

  • Five years woodworking experience and/or technical certification required

  • Deadline oriented                                                                                                                          

  • Willingness to work overtime/weekends as required
